A Original painted in 1996. I love Marian's images of birds in flight.
The Black Capped Chickadee is common in the Northern United States and much of Alaska and Canada. It is a year-round resident in our back yard, and consistent visitor to our feeders. Unlike many birds that sit on a bird feeder perch and eat away, the Black Capped Chickadee flies in, grabs one seed (usually a black oil sunflower seed), and immediately flies away with it.
