Bohemian Waxwing - Bombycillidae Bombycilla garrulus

A Original painted in 1996.

Unlike the more common Cedar Waxwing, the Bohemian Waxwing is found primarily in boreal forests and muskeg in northwestern North America (including Alaska), and in northern Asia.

Marian Berger spent her early childhood on Wake Island and in Alaska. Marian has recently returned to Alaska, and has returned to painting some Alaskan subjects - partially because she loves Alaska, and partially because that suits the local art market. This section includes some of her Alaskan artwork.
