Introduction by Bethe Fisher

There are many sources for information regarding handcoloring of photographs and many different ways to do it. I’ve found that I prefer printing on matte finish paper (RC or fiber) and using Marshall’s oils. The oils are semi-transparent, so the subtle changes in tone of the original photograph still show. The coloring is frequently done by using cotton swabs to apply the oils.
