Introduction

I was fortunate to attend an IPT (Instructional Photo-Tour) with Arthur Morris at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. From Art and his assistant (Ellen Anon) I learned a lot, had a great time, and got some wonderful photos (at least I believe they are wonderful, you can judge for yourself by selecting the images on the left).

Among the things I learned from Art were how to use fill flash (I have never been successful before), and how to use the histogram available on my digital camera to verify the correct exposure setting. Both are very useful tools that helped me get better photos than I have before. I also learned that breeding season at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm is a wonderful photographic opportunity, especially with a photo pass and getting in ahead of other photographers through arrangements made by Art.

You can learn more about Arthur Morris at his Birds As Art website. He also sells beautiful prints and some hard-to-find photographic equipment aimed at bird and nature photography, in addition to providing information about his tours and IPTs.

Among the things I learned from Ellen Anon were why I really should use Breeze Browser in addition to Adobe PhotoShop, a couple of PhotoShop tricks, and some tips on how to improve a couple of my photos. Good stuff!

You can learn more about Ellen Anon at her website. She has some truly gorgeous photos you can view over the net, and offers courses in Adobe PhotoShop and digital photography.

Based on my experience at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, I certainly would recommend Arthur Morris IPTs! Both Art and Ellen were knowledgeable and very helpful.
